**Donations**

Donating products for disaster relief involves transportation, storage, and distribution. The most effective way to contribute is through donations. Charitable organizations aiding South Carolina victims will utilize your contributions to purchase the specific items needed, preferably from local sources.

We kindly ask that all monetary donations be directed to us and other charitable organizations supporting our state during this emergency.

**Volunteer Services**

Thank you for your willingness to volunteer for those affected by recent natural disasters both locally and nationwide. Many volunteer roles require specialized training, and we prioritize the safety of all volunteers during response and recovery efforts. We encourage you to volunteer within your own networks or connect with a voluntary organization active in disaster relief. For local volunteer opportunities, please reach out to any of the South Carolina Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters.

**Clothing**

We are not accepting used clothing donations directly. However, we encourage you to take any clothing donations within the state to a charitable organization in your community, as they have the resources to effectively utilize these items.

**Food**

The most effective way to assist with food donations is through financial contributions. Feeding the Carolinas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting the four Feeding America Food Banks in South Carolina, is accepting monetary donations to aid their member Food Banks.

South Carolinians wishing to collect food items should consult their local food pantry or charitable organization to determine their needs. Local food pantries and Feeding the Carolinas’ member Food Banks will distribute food and supplies to affected areas. Visit Feeding the Carolinas and use the Find Food feature to locate local food pantries. Their member Food Banks include Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (serving the Upstate/Spartanburg area), Harvest Hope Food Bank (serving the Midlands), Golden Harvest Food Bank (serving the Aiken area), and Lowcountry Food Bank (serving the Lowcountry).
